Mummers Parade

Every year, a Mummers Parade is held around the second week in December, bringing festive cheers and holiday spirits to all.  People dressed up in disguises, with large hats, masks, bras with brooms, ugly sticks and all costumes you can imagine and march along the downtown of St. John's.  The parade route varies but all take about an hour to complete.  Lots of preparation and workshops are often held the week prior to the parade. Its gaining more popularity every year and always get featured on national media.    More pictures can be viewed via this link.
